Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Bunny Hop – Bitty Bunny Box
Today I have a sweet little box to share with you made using the Lots to Love Framelits and Hello Easter stamp set. This is the third project in this year’s Bunny Hop series which means we’re half way through, just three more to go!
This is such a quick and easy project to make and only needs a 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ piece of cardstock for the box base, which means you can make two from one sheets of A4 cardstock, perfect for making in bulk 🙂
After you cut your cardstock using the Lots to Love Box Framelits, pop it into your trimmer or scoreboard and add two extra score lines at 2-1/8″ & 2-3/4″ from the flat edge.
These extra score lines will be the bottom of your box and you’ll trim the tabs and assemble the box as usual.
I adhered a 2″ x 2-7/8″ piece of Sweet Soiree DSP to the front of each box and closed them with a band of Smoky Slate Gingham Ribbon tied off with Whisper White Baker’s Twine. TIP: To keep the ribbon secure I knotted the twine before making the bow, this way I could make my gingham ribbon snug around the box without worrying about the bow coming undone.
I die cut a Whisper White circle using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and adhered it to a scalloped Silver Glimmer Paper circle, die cut with the Layering Circles Framelits. A few of the tiny flowers from Hello Easter were stamped as a background and two of the leaves from the Sure Do Love You Bundle were added under the fussy cut bunny.
This was adhered to just the ribbon with some Tear n’ Tape so it could easily slide off to open the box.
Even thought this box is small, 2-1/8″ x 3″ x 5/8″ it can hold quite a few different Easter treats. The ones I have pictured are readily available in Australia, but I’m sure there would be lots of other small goodies that would fit as well.
Each box can hold, clockwise from the top left, 3 little Easter Figures (from Aldi) or 2 Maltesers Mini Bunnies or 8 Lindt Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs.
I hope you liked today’s project, these are a really cute, quick to make and fairly economical and are now first in line for the class Easter treats this year if my other goodies don’t arrive in time.
Cheers,
Karen

If the one measurement is actually 6 1/2 you can’t get 2 out of one piece of cardstock. Did you mean 5 1/2?

Hi Lynne,
The measurements are 4 1/2 x 6 1/2, I cut my card stock down to 6 1/2 x 9 and then cut that in half, which is how I got the 2 pieces.
Cheers
Karen
