I’ve loved creating for as long as I can remember, my first love was cross stitch but after 20 odd years I needed something a little less taxing on my eyes and longed for a creative outlet with faster results, cross stitch is many things but not speedy!
Papercrafting magazines caught my eye initially and free tools and papers got me started on a brand new hobby but I soon became frustrated trying to find a reliable source of product to create with. Shops closed, some only had part of a collection, big box stores didn’t have items in stock for weeks on end, you know how it is and what I didn’t then realise, a lot of what I was buying was not great quality.
I have to thank the magazines for one thing though, it was how I found Stampin’ Up! I found a local demonstrator, ordered a few things and quickly became a fan of all things Stampin’ Up! I joined as a demonstrator in 2013, for the discount, the coordinating paper, cardstock, embellishments, dies and punches were just what I was looking for, the stamps were… interesting, but not really my cup of tea.
Forward three odd years and I don’t have enough storage space for my stamps and stamping equipment. I’m hooked, be warned!
I’ve learned so much from all the talented people online who share their ideas and knowledge so generously and finally feel ready to take the next step and share some of my own ideas. I’m looking forward to sharing my love of creating with my readers and would be thrilled if you’d join me for this journey.
