Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | A Star is Born
I was tidying up my desk the other day and came across this card that I made months ago using the gorgeous Little Twinkle Bundle . This is such a lovely card, that I really enjoyed making, using one of my favourite sets from the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue and I feel a little guilty for forgetting about it 😉
I combined the moon from this bundle with the clouds from the Up & Away Framelits and a star from the Wood Crate Framelits to create a sweet and simple card for a new baby.
I used one of the starry patterns from the Twinkle Twinkle DSP as the background and added a strip of a different pattern layered onto Soft Sea Foam cardstock to provide a contrast to my moon and star.
You can’t see in these photos, but the moon and star were both cut from a piece of So Saffron cardstock that had been stamped with one of the Bokeh Dots patterns in the same colour which added a subtle texture to these pieces.
I used Whisper White Baker’s Twine to “tie” the two together and popped the up on the front of my card using dimensionals. A couple of Mini Glue Dots under the bow and point of the star helps to keep the twine in place and stops the bow from coming undone.
A few layers of Clear Wink of Stella added a lovely twinkle to these elements & finished them off perfectly 🙂
The clouds were die cut from Whisper White cardstock using the Up & Away Framelits and a sentiment stamped in Grey Granite and die cut using the Stitched Labels Framelits, both of these elements were popped up with dimensionals as well.
I have finished the inside with another sentiment and some images, I’ll have to take some new photos and should have them up by the end of the week.
Card Cuts:
Card Base: Grey Granite
Layer 1: Twinkle Twinkle DSP
10.0 x 14.3cm
Layer 2: Soft Sea Foam cardstock
6.5 x 14.3cm
Layer 3: Twinkle Twinkle DSP
6.0 x 14.3cm
I really like this design and think I’ll be making a few more of these to have on hand. I think the colours I used make this a great gender-neutral card and perfect to make in advance, of course you could change it up using different colours and coordinating it with a gift would look amazing 🙂
Cheers,
Karen
