Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | In the Spotlight – Hello Cupcake
Sale-A-Bration 2019 is in full swing now with lots of fun FREE goodies to get your hands on. Some of them have been so popular they’re out of stock, but there’s still plenty to choose from like today’s Hello Cupcake stamp set.
Pinterest is full of great samples using this stamp set and it was a little challenging to come up with something unique, but still simple. Make sure to check out my SU Occasions 2019 – Hello Cupcake board for just a few of the amazing ideas out there 🙂
I wanted today’s project to be all about the Hello Cupcake stamp set so kept all the stamping from this set and really liked that it works so well as a stand alone set. I stamped a background of sprinkles onto a Sahara Sand rectangle that I’d die cut with the 4th largest Rectangle Stitched Framelits and adhered this towards the top of a Bermuda Bay card base.
I used my Stamparatus to stamp one of the sentiments onto my background several times to build up the intensity of colour I needed to make it stand out against the busy background.
The cupcake liner, “cake” and icing were all stamped on Whisper White and die cut with the coordinating Call Me Cupcake Framelits (available March 1) I added a cake stand to ground my image and adhered everything towards the bottom right.
I have to admit, I spent quite a bit of time thinking about the “extra” it needed to finish it off and ended up adhering some of the smallest iridescent sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment to add a little sparkle.
I kept the inside very simple and just added another cupcake in Sahara Sand towards the bottom. I die cut a quick mask of the icing from a post-it note to be able to stamp the wrapper “behind”, I love photopolymer for this kind of stamping, it makes it so easy to line things up 🙂
I was so happy to see that Stampin’ Up! will be offering coordinating framelits for some of the Sale-A-Bration sets and jumped on the cupcake ones straight away. If you don’t have a Big Shot though the images are pretty simple to fussy cut, but there are a few extras in the die set that complement the stamp set beautifully and make it a very worthwhile addition to my stash 🙂
Cheers,
Karen
