Today I have a quick and easy card to share with you that is a great way to use up some of the gorgeous DSP that you – I mean, I’ve been hoarding 😉 I’m using the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP and Crafting Forever stamp set for today’s project and plan to make a whole bunch of them to pop in the post for some happy mail.
There’s nothing nicer than receiving an unexpected card or letter in the mail and I really want to send out more of those “just because” cards this year. Somehow they seem a little more special than the birthday or Christmas ones and they’re definitely nicer than bills!
I decided to use the Crafting Forever stamp set for today’s project because I haven’t used it since I’ve had my Stampin’ Blends Markers and they just seemed the perfect choice to colour all those artists tools with.
I used every colour except the Bronze and Ivory to create a bright cheerful collection and think these smaller images are great for experimenting with different colour combinations.
I adhered my coloured 5 x 14.8cm Whisper White strip to a 5.5 x 14.8cm piece of Whole Lot of Lovely DSP and added that to a 9.5 x 14.8cm piece on a Tranquil Tide card base.
I added a sentiment from Work of Art in Tranquil Tide ink and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I created a frame using the same framelit set, layered them together for a fun “arty” look and popped this up on the front of my card with dimensionals.
A few glitter dots from the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes add a little sparkle and finished off my card front 🙂
I hope you liked today’s bright and cheerful card, it’s been overcast and rainy for over a week in Brisbane now and this project was a much-needed splash of colour.
