Hello

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Hello

Hi everyone! I have a couple of quick & easy cards to share with you today using the fun Playful Alphabet Dies & Playing With Patterns DSP – I hope you’re not sick of seeing them yet 😉

Today’s project was inspired by the sample on page 125 of the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue. I love the stripes & cheery colours and wanted to make my own version – without all the gluing though 😁

Little Paper Party, Playful Alphabet Dies, Butterfly Gala, 1

The Playing With Patterns DSP pack has a lovely striped pattern and as I wanted to make two cards from one sheet I decided to cut one sheet in half and go from there.

As the paper pack is 6″ x 6″ I decided to work out all my layers in inches instead of centimetres (which is not what I usually do for cardmaking) and I’ll add them at the end if you’d like to make your own.

The letters for the word “hello” were die cut from Whisper White cardstock using the Playful Alphabet Dies and adhered flat to a label die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

I popped this up with dimensionals over my DSP panel and added one of the ribbons from the Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack underneath which has a lovely shimmer 🙂

A few of the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots added a subtle embellishment to these simple cards and I like that they’re quite flat so my card is perfect to pop in the post with just a regular stamp 🙂

To finish off the insides I added a sentiment from Butterfly Gala – which seemed a perfect fit and a few asterisks die cut from the leftover DSP, for just a pop of colour.

Card Cuts:

C6 card front = 4-1/8″ x 5-7/8″
Layer 1 = 4″ x 5-3/4″
Layer 2 = 3-1/8″ x 4-7/8″
DSP Layer = 3″ x 4-3/4″

The Playful Alphabet Dies are possibly my favourite item in the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue, the size is just right to spell larger words and I love the quirky font on some of the letters, just a little something out of the usual 😏

Cheers,
Karen
