We Just Fit

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | We Just Fit

Happy Friday everyone! I thought I’d finish the week off with a project using another one of my *new* favourites, the Love You To Pieces Bundle and say welcome back to an old favourite, Mint Macaron.

The Love You To Pieces Bundle is another one of those bundles that I fell in love with one my first look through the *new* 2018-19 Annual Catalogue. The sentiments in the stamp set already cover lots of different occasions & I’m building a list of even more to add extra versatility.

Little Paper Party, Love You To Pieces Bundle, Share What You Love DSP, Quilt Top TIEF, #1

Even though my card today has plenty of layers, its pretty simple to put together & is the card I enjoyed making the most out of this week’s line-up.

The colour combination of Mint Macaron, Rich Razzleberry & Tranquil Tide was a little outside my comfort zone and was taken from the Share What You Love DSP that I used for the focal element and background of this project.  I quite like it though, it’s bright & quirky, just my cup of tea 😉

The card base was layered with a piece of Share What You Love DSP and then a layer of Rich Razzleberry, stamped with the puzzle piece outline tone-on-tone.

A small layer of Mint Macaron was embossed with the Quilt Top TIEF and adhered with dimensionals to allow for the thickness of the velvet ribbon just above the sentiment.

I stamped one of the smaller sentiments from Love You To Pieces in Tranquil Tide and die cut it with one of the *new* Stitched Labels Framelits – I am loving these! I popped this up as well and finished with a few rhinestones for a little sparkle.

Cards Cuts:

  • Share What You Love DSP (10.5 x 14.8cm – adhered to a standard card base)
  • Rich Razzleberry (10 x 14.3cm)
  • Mint Macaron (8 x 12.3cm)

I’m no expert in these things, but I think this style of card would be great for someone vision impaired or who likes tactile objects. There’s loads of texture with all the die cuts, layers, ribbon and embossing. I’d love hear ideas from anyone who makes tactile cards regularly.

Cheers,
Karen
