I love the colour combination of black and white with a metallic at Christmas – or pretty much anytime 😉 I think it looks so elegant and that’s what I’ve used for today’s Christmas version of Wednesday’s little gift bags.

I made the boxes out of DSP this time and Stampin’ Up! have given us a lovely paper pack called Merry Little Christmas which is full of black, white and Old Olive designs. It’s part of a mega suite of products that all coordinate beautifully and can cover all your card making and packaging needs.

One thing I love about such a simple colour combination is that I can add any accent colour I’d like. I’ve chosen gold for these ones but they’d look just as striking with silver or copper or maybe even some Lemon Lime Twist for modern take.

I love my sparkle at Christmas and have lots of it on these little bags. I made the belly band from Gold Foil and added some Black Shimmer Ribbon tied with the 1/8″ Gold Ribbon.

The tag is from the Merry Little Labels stamp set, stamped in Basic Black and punched with the coordinating Everyday Label Punch. The tag needed a little something extra so I added a small Metallic Doily cut in half to each side which looks so pretty.

The final touch were a few Black Rhinestone Jewels which added just a little more sparkle and some texture. I’m so pleased we have a black embellishment to add to our projects, these lovelies are found in the Halloween section of the catalogue but can be used for so much more than just that – make sure to add some to your stash 🙂

I hope you liked today’s project, these little bags are so pretty and would make lovely table favours or hold special little gifts and a simple sentiment change would make them suitable for a range of celebrations, New Year’s, weddings, milestones etc… as well.
