Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | 5 Minute Mondays
I’m back with another super quick card to share with you and a super short post, perfect to start a busy week with 🙂 It’s really all about the DSP today, such a quick and easy way to add pattern and colour with just a few cuts.
The layout for this card was inspired this week’s Fab Friday 139 sketch, such a simple design with so many possibilities, just right for quick and easy cards.
I used a piece of Nature’s Poem DSP layered on a Crumb Cake card base for the background of my card. It’s cut at 10 x 14.3cm, which is a standard layer size and adhered flat.
I used my new favourite, the Stitched Labels Framelits, to die cut a “doily” element from Mint Macaron cardstock. You could make this even faster by adhering a pre-made doily instead, but as my Big Shot is always ready to use it takes me very little time to cut out a basic shape.
The sentiment is from Dragonfly Dreams and was stamped in Tranquil Tide ink on a 1/2″ strip of Whisper White cardstock. I added a 3/8″ wide strip of Tranquil Tide cardstock behind and staggered the trimmed ends.
This was popped up over a few leaves punched from Vellum using the Lemon Builder Punch and a sprinkle of the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls finished it off.
I promised you quick and easy and I think I delivered 🙂 You could make this project even faster by using a pre-made doily and leaving off the leaves or you could step it up with another cardstock layer under the DSP and more decorative elements around the sentiment.
Cheers,
Karen

Wow, those little vellum leaves add just the right touch over the diecut shape – it all comes together beautifully! My fave color choices, lol. Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
