Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Festive Friday
Today I have a Christmas version of the little wood crate I shared on Wednesday. I usually fill my bags and boxes with edible treats – which are very popular in my house – but wanted to show that they can hold more than just sugary snacks, so today’s version has some glittery nail polish inside.
My photos really don’t capture the sparkle on this project, but I think if these were at fete or market they’d be snapped up quick smart – especially if you have magpie tendencies like myself 😉
The crate was made using the Wood Textures DSP and Wood Crate Framelits and the only decoration on it is some Black Shimmer Ribbon and Cherry Cobbler Double Stitched Ribbon wrapped around the centre. The bow was tied separately and adhered afterwards with a generous amount of glue dots.
The bottles are inside one our Gusseted Cellophane Bags with a little silver shred (non SU) and closed at the top with a Metallic Foil Doily folded in half and stapled in place.
The sentiment is from Tin of Tags – a carryover from last year’s Holiday Catalogue – and fitted perfectly in the Everyday Label Punch (available 1/9). A few baubles created with the Carols of Christmas Bundle dressed it up a little and some rhinestones added some extra shine.
I added another label on the back to keep it neat and this would be the perfect place to add your own details if you were selling a handmade item.
Both labels were attached with dimensionals to each other and the doily and I like how this gives a finished look all round to this project.
I hope you liked today’s Christmas crate and I’ll try harder to get better photographs – 3D items are hard 😦 this is so much prettier and sparklier in person, I promise.
