Festive Friday

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Karen Robinson – Festive Friday

I’m back with a Christmas version of my shaker jar treat bags and I really love how these turned out, they are so cute. This time I used the new Foam Adhesive Strips from the Annual Catalogue to assemble to shaker portion (why did I wait to order these????), they are so much easier to use than cutting up dimensionals and they’re a bit thicker which meant my shaker shakes properly this time! This is only the second shaker project I’ve made and they made such a difference, I definitely won’t be using anything else!

Little Paper Party, Jar of Love, Candy Cane Lane DSP.jpg

I used the Jar of Love stamp set and Everyday Jars Framelits again but this time in a Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate colourway and the bag portion was made from Candy Cane Lane DSP.

I wanted to keep the same theme going as my Halloween version of a foil, glitter and paper/cardstock filler and here is what I came up with this time. The hearts were die cut using the Everyday Jars Framelits in Gold Foil, the tiny candy canes were fussy cut from a sheet of the Candy Cane Lane DSP and the holly and berries are from Snow Place (a carryover from last year) and die cut with the matching framelits, the berries were punched from Red Glimmer Paper using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch to add the glitter part. However, you could use anything you like as a filler, there are loads of little images in the Candy Cane Lane DSP that are the perfect size for this project.

The sentiment and stars are from Holly Jolly Greetings and it doesn’t show up in the photos but all the stars and handles have Clear Wink of Stella on them – I love this stuff 🙂

My favourite element on this project is the little tag on the handle. I fussy cut some images from the Candy Cane Lane DSP and then layered them together, the gingerbread man is popped up on dimensionals and the little gumdrop is generously coated with Clear Wink of Stella, a baker’s twine bow attached to the top finishes it off.

I hope you like my Christmas version as much as I do – I was very subtle about it 😉 and that you’ll come back soon to see what else I’ve been up to.

Cheers,
Karen
