12 Weeks of Halloween – Week 2

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | 12 Weeks of Halloween – Week 2

Today’s project is a cute treat holder made using the Wood Crate Framelits with a few sneak peeks of new products from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue 🙂 These little boxes go together very quickly so are perfect to make in bulk and I’ll share a tip how to make an entire box from just one piece of 6″ x 6″ paper.

If you’d like a FREE copy of the Holiday Catalogue – it’s really awesome, you definitely want one 🙂 and don’t already have a Demonstrator, just fill out a request form here and I’ll pop one in the post for you.

Please note that I can only send catalogues to Australian residents.

The crate was die cut using the Wood Crate Framelits and you need to cut it twice to make one box. I used the Wood Textures DSP for mine – I just love this paper stack – and found I could cut two from one piece of 6″ x 6″ sheet if I didn’t mind having a little missing from one base.

If I were making a lot of these I’d definitely do this, it’s such a saving and with the cut piece on the inside it’s really not very noticeable.

The headstones were created using the *new* Everyday Label Punch (available Sept. 1). The large one was stamped using the Wood Words stamp set, and the smaller one with the *new* Spooky Cat set (available Sept. 1).

A couple of fussy cut pumpkins from the Spooky Night DSP (available Sept. 1) finished off this simple project and add just the right Halloween-y touch 🙂

I’m picturing these filled with all sorts of body parts and bones lollies or even little creepy décor items maybe with a battery tea light inside for some extra spookiness.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and will come back on Friday to see the Christmas version. I think if I were handing these out or selling them I’d pop all the goodies into one of our gusseted cellophane bags, tie it with the *new* Vintage Crochet Trim and tape that to the base of the crate for an easy to transport, all-in-one treat.
