This is my very first time joining in a Global Design Project challenge  – so hopefully all the links will work properly – and this one is a colour challenge using Daffodil Delight, Emerald Envy and Watermelon Wonder.

I recently received one of the *new* Sale-a-Bration items – available from February 21st – and was dying to use it and this challenge was perfect for putting it through its paces.

I was on the fence about pre-ordering this set but I’m so glad I did, it reminds me of the mandalas from my cross stitching days and there are just so many colour combinations you could choose that would make each one unique.

The set is designed to coordinate with the Layering Circles Framelits which I used to die cut the three main images. The two smaller monochromatic ones are stamped off once and the largest one is using all the colours at full strength.

A little masking and stamping around the outlines added just the little extra detail I think it needed, it was hard to know when to stop, but I think I got it right 🙂

The set has three sentiments that fit inside the medallion and there are loads of others that would fit as well but I really liked the images by themselves so decided to not add one. I think it makes it suitable for lots of different occasions this way and I could always add one later if I wanted too.

I usually keep inside my cards quite plain but I did add a couple more medallions, stamped off, for a little extra something this time.

I hope you like today’s project, the colour combination was a little outside my comfort zone but I’m so glad I tried it because I think this is now my favourite card so far this year 🙂
