Hi everyone 🖐 I’m back with another Festive Friday card to share with you, using the super cute Have A Hoot Bundle from the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalogue.

I love using DSP on my cards as it’s a quick & easy way to add colour & pattern to a project with very little effort on my part 😉 I decided to use the Heartwarming Hugs DSP for my background and layered a die cut rectangle onto some Mossy Meadow cardstock & a Thick Whisper White card base.

To help my sentiment and image pop against this background I adhered a piece of Real Red cardstock die cut with the largest rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to go behind them and love the extra interest that the stitched and scalloped detail give.

I stamped one of the owls from Have A Hoot onto Whisper White cardstock and coloured just the branch, added a little shading around him with a Light Pool Party Blend & die cut this out with a circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

I stamped & coloured another owl, die cut it with the coordinating Peek-a-Hoot Dies and popped him up over the original with dimensionals. The sentiment was die cut with the smallest die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and I popped this up too – I love the extra texture this added to my simple card 🥰

To add a little Christmas sparkle I highlighted parts of the stamping with my Clear Wink of Stella pen as well as a scattering of Rhinestones.

The inside has the same layers as the front and I simply stamped one of the sentiments from the same stamp set to dress it up. I still want to add a little something extra, but couldn’t decide what, so have left it for the moment and will come back to it later.

I love how bright & cheerful this card turned out, it’s really getting me in a Christmassy mood, which is good as my husband keeps giving me countdowns to freak me out 🙄
