12 Weeks of Halloween 2020 | Week 8

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | 12 Weeks of Halloween – Week 8

Hi everyone🖐 Today I have a different type of treat holder to share with you than I usually make, using the Tags Tags Tags stamp set and Word Wishes Dies from the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue.

Little Paper Party, 12 Weeks of Halloween 2020 - Week 8, 1

To mix things up a little I added a pocket to the front of a standard card which is perfect for a flat lollipop or two and I thought would be a fun way to combine treat giving and send a little Halloween hello as well.

The pocket uses a piece of 3.5″ x 6″ Plaid Tidings DSP and I added the smallest gusset possible to allow for the lollipop stick but still lie pretty flat when it’s empty. The handle is a small piece of jute twine and I added a little extra sparkle with some glitter stars & pumpkin using some retired products.

This card doesn’t fit into a standard envelope with such a large lollipop so a few ideas you could use to package up your card include; clear bags (I showed these in the video), the Acetate Card Boxes in the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue, make a custom envelope or use one a little larger than usual.

Here’s the How To:

Card:
DSP: 3/4″ x card height (x2)
Border: 3/4″ x card height (x2)
Centre panel: 3″ x card height

Pocket:
DSP: 3-1/2″ x 6″

  • Score @ 1-1/2″, 1-5/8″, 1-3/4″, 4-1/4″, 4-3/8″ & 4-1/2″ (on 6″ side)
  • Turn 90°
  • Score @ 1/2″ (on 3-1/2″ side)
  • Trim base
  • Fold gussets, add adhesive, sponge edges
  • Add twine before assembling
  • Assemble bag
  • Tie on tag with ribbon, glue in place
  • Adhere bag to card front with tombow

This was such a fun card to put together and I think it will still look pretty good after the yummies have been removed. I wouldn’t post this as a standard card, but it would travel quite well with other things or you could send it it one of the slim mailing boxes that are available.

Cheers,
Karen
