Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Wishing you the best
Hi everyone! I know I’ve been quiet for a while, we’ve been busy with school holidays and other things, but I’ve been itching to get back to my desk and create and finally have found the time to do so 🙂
I have a simple card to share with you today, using a lovely set in the 2019-20 Annual Catalogue, Inspiring Iris and am playing along with two challenges – which are a great way to kick start your creative juices, Color Throwdown (CTD554) and CAS(E) this Sketch! (CTS#333).
I was wanting to add a little more of the Kraft colour to my project and finally inked up my Birch background stamp which added a lovely texture to a plain piece of Whisper White cardstock.
I die cut this using a die from my stash and adhered it to a layer of Crumb Cake and then to a Basic Black card base.
I stamped the flowers using Momento Black for the outline, Old Olive for the stems and Real Red for the flower heads. The fill in stamps in this set have a lovely texture to them and are very forgiving and I loved the colour variation you get with just one stamping 🙂
I fussy cut these out and created a little posy with a couple of strands of Basic Black Baker’s Twine which I popped up over a simple sentiment banner with dimensionals.
I added the same layers to the inside and two more of my fussy cut flowers to dress it up a little.
I really enjoyed making this project, it’s been ages since I’ve had a chance to create and it felt so good to be at it again 🙂 I’ll be starting this year’s 12 Weeks of Halloween series this week and hope you’ll pop back on Wednesday to see my first project.
