Hi everyone 🖐 As Christmas is getting closer it’s time to start wrapping all the gifts (really, I’m just running out of hiding places 😉) and that means tags are needed to make sure Christmas morning doesn’t go horribly wrong 😆

Gift tags are one of those items we tend to need a lot of so I like to keep mine quick & easy to make as well as coordinating with the gift wrap I’m using. I chose Crumb Cake cardstock as the base for my tags and added a Gold Foil topper for a little shine which also acts as a reinforcer.

I used a tag topper punch to quickly add a decorative element to each tag as well as the Detailed Trio Punch to round the bottom corners. The tag topper punch I used is retired, but we have three to chose from in our current 2020-21 Annual Catalogue and I’ll link to the Delightful Tag Topper which is the closest in design to the one I used.

I only used stamping to decorate my tags, which is quick & easy and used the Celebration Tidings stamp set for the front and the “to…from” from Snowman Season for the back. A quick bit of colouring with some Watercolor Pencils adds a little more colour & interest and I finished them off with a snippet of Real Red Sheer Ribbon.

Here’s the How To:

Cardstock: 4″ x 5cm (punch with tag topper punch & round bottom corners)
Gold Foil: 1″ x 5cm (use a post-it note to punch with the same tag topper punch and adhere to tag base)
Stamp sentiments & image
Colour images if desired
Add 8″ ribbon/ twine to finish

I love how my tags turned out this year & that they are so quick to make. I’ve wrapped a few presents now and they look great on them, but don’t be afraid to change up the colours to coordinate with your colour scheme, I think they’d work in any colourway.
