Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | 12 Days of Christmas – Stocking Stuffers #1

Hi everyone 🖐 Today I have a stocking stuffer idea to share with you for the third project in my 12 Days of Christmas series, using the Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes from the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue & part of the Poinsettia Place Suite from the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalogue.

The Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes are the base of my project and are quick & easy to assemble as well as being food safe & very sturdy. I thought they’d be perfect to hold lots of little gifts and plan to make at least half a dozen of them – although I may end up making more 😁

I initially wanted to use the Poinsettia Place DSP as a belly-band, but after a little finagling ended up with a full cardstock wrap with a DSP strip in the centre which makes it look like an over-sized matchbox.   

I used the Poinsettia Dies to cut several elements from cardstock & DSP to create my embellishment and added two of the branches from the In the Woods Dies to round it out.  Once I adhered all the parts together I popped it up on my wrap with dimensionals and added a die cut sentiment to finish it off. 

 

Here’s the How To:

Cardstock: 5-7/8″ x length of cardstock
DSP: 4″ x 12″

• Score cardstock at 2-5/8″, 3-3/4″, 7-5/8″ & 8-3/4″ (on long side)
• Fold & burnish score lines
• Centre & adhere one edge of DSP to one end of cardstock, wrap cardstock around box and finger fold DSP to fit
• Adhere the rest of DSP to cardstock & trim excess
• Add adhesive to one end of cardstock and seal up the wrap making sure that it it is snug, but can slide off easily
• Decorate as desired

I really love how these little boxes turned out & while these ones probably won’t end up in stockings I can see them nestling in the tree branches with some special surprises inside 😊
