Hi everyone 🖐 I have a clean & simple (CAS) encouragement card to share with you today using the Rooted In Nature stamp set from the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue.

I used the Woodland Embossing Folder to emboss a 1/4 sheet of Whisper White cardstock to create a background & then trimmed this down to the size I desired. I love how this panel adds pattern, texture & interest, but doesn’t distract from the main elements on the card front 😊

I stamped the leaves in Momento Black ink and coloured them with Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody & Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends, cut them out with the coordinating die from the Nature’s Roots Dies and popped them up on my card front with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Essential Sentiments (MFT) and I heat embossed it in white on Basic Black cardstock, trimmed it down & popped it up as well.

The finishing touch were a few Pearls that I coloured with Stampin’ Blends using the darker colour. I used Multi Medium Matte to adhere them over the embossed areas and really love how they turned out – even better than I’d hoped 😁

I kept the inside very simple & just added a stitched rectangle with two more leaves in black in one corner. 

I really like how this CAS card turned out and think the only thing I would change is to have the whole card front covered with the embossed panel. I struggle with CAS card design, which is one of my favourite styles, so am always thrilled when one of my projects turn out just as I imagined it 😄
