Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | No Stamps Allowed

Hi everyone 🖐 Today I have a bright & cheerful card to share with you using just die cuts – no stamps allowed 😁 I’m using the Playful Alphabet & Stitches Shapes Dies from the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue plus some rectangles from my stash.

Little Paper Party, Playful Alphabet, Stitched Shapes Dies, 1

I used the fun Pleased As Punch DSP to add colour & pattern to my project, this paper is currently on the Clearance Rack in Australia (6.10.20), but any paper pack would work just as well. I used stitched & scalloped rectangles from my stash to create the background layers as well as the frame surrounding the sentiment.

I wanted the frame to have a little dimension so die cut it three more times from cardstock and adhered all the layers together. This is a great option for thinner die cuts and looks good from all sides as well 😊

The word celebrate was die cut using the Playful Alphabet Dies and I die cut them again from Foam Adhesive Sheets to pop them up. The “gift” underneath is the smallest square from the Stitched Shapes Dies and I added a Whisper White cardstock one behind for extra strength so I could tie a bow of Metallic Mesh Ribbon around it to complete the look & popped it up as well.

The inside has the same die cut layers as the front and two more gifts for some decoration. To reduce some of the bulk on these I used Tear & Tape to adhere the ribbon on the back & then removed the crossover from when I originally  tied the ribbon on. I then added some Tombow over the Tear & Tape, adhered them in place & popped a block on top until they dried.

I really like how this card turned out, it’s so bright & cheerful 😁 and I love the stacked word as it meant I could use a standard size card.

Cheers,
Karen
