Masculine Monday – Sailing Home

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Masculine Monday – Sailing Home

Hi everyone 🖐 I have a fun nautical card to share with you today using the Sailing Home stamp set & coordinating dies from the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue.

Little Paper Party, Sailing Home, Itty Bitty Birthdays, Smooth Sailing Dies, 1

I decided to create a my own background for my project by stamping the anchor image in Misty Moonlight, Mossy Meadow & Crumb Cake inks over a 1/4 sheet of Whisper White cardstock. I cut this down with a stitched rectangle die, added a layer of 2020-22 In Color DSP behind and adhered this to a Thick Whisper White card base.

All the elements I used to create a nautical style vignette were die cut with the Smooth Sailing Dies (except the compass) and scraps of coordinating cardstock. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays and I die cut it out with one of the Ornate Frames Dies. I adhered all my elements together how I liked them and popped this entire element up on my card front with dimensionals.

I added some simple layers to the inside of my card with a couple of extra die cuts in one corner which tied my whole card together nicely.

I forgot how easy it is to create your own background with stamping, it’s perfect if you don’t have just the “right” DSP in your stash and you can use any colours you like  😁

Cheers,
Karen
