CAS – Beautiful Friendship

Hi everyone 🖐 I have a quick & easy, but very sweet card to share with you today using the Beautiful Friendship stamp set from the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue.

Today’s card was inspired by one of the samples on p74 of the Annual Catalogue, I really like how they used the negative part of the die cut to create a frame. After I’d measured the largest rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, I cut down a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 4.5″ x 3.25″, centred my die & ran it through my die cutting machine.

For the focal image I stamped one of the large flowers from Beautiful Friendship in Calypso Coral and the centre stamens in Crushed Curry ink. I die cut this with another die from the same set & popped it up in the centre of my card to add a little texture.

The background is a piece of Playing With Patterns DSP that I trimmed with a stitched rectangle from my stash and for a little embellishment I added a few Playing With Patterns Resin Dots.

I’ve kept the inside very simple as well and added a die cut layer with some more stamping in one corner. I haven’t added a sentiment at all to this card, sometimes it’s useful to have blank cards, they’re so versatile and I can always add one later on 😊

I really like how this simple card turned out, it would be useful to have several of these on hand that I can customise as needed. I’ll have to come up with a masculine version too as they’re the ones I use the most, having a few “any occasion” ones to hand would be very useful.
