12 Weeks of Halloween 2020 | Week 5

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | 12 Weeks of Halloween 2020 – Week 5

Hi everyone 🖐 I have the fifth project in this year’s 12 Weeks of Halloween series to share with you and today we’re keeping it really quick & easy and dressing up some 3-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ Acetate Card Boxes from the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue.

Little Paper Party, 12 Weeks of Halloween 2020 - Week 5, Have A Hoot Bundle, 1
I created a layered band for my boxes using a strip of Basic Black cardstock cut to 1-1/4″ x the width and trimmed with a border die from the Be Mine Stitched Dies to add a decorative edge.

I added two strips of Plaid Tidings DSP cut to 3/8″ x 6″ for contrast and a little Metallic Mesh Ribbon for sparkle  ✨

One of the owl images from Have A Hoot was stamped in Momento Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock, coloured with Stampin’ Blends and die cut with the coordinating die.

I stamped the image again onto a scrap of Mango Melody cardstock, coloured the branch & die cut it with one of the Stitched Shapes circles to create a full moon behind my owl.

I used dimensionals to pop up both my owl & moon which finished off my simple project, I love how it turned out 🥰

This was such a fun project to make and I’ll definitely be making some Christmas versions as well. I’ll have to start looking for some non-food options to put inside and will let you know what I find.

Cheers,
Karen
