Masculine Monday – #1 DAD

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Masculine Monday – #1 DAD

Welcome back to another Masculine Monday project. With Father’s Day just around the corner here, I thought I’d better get a move on and make a few cards for the special guy in our lives 😁

I’m using the Pattern Play Bundle & coordinating Playing with Patterns DSP for today’s card and am playing along this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge (CTS#385) for the layout.

I decided to use Night of Navy cardstock for my card base and cut a circle from the Playing With Patterns DSP layer using the Layering Circles Dies to recreate the circle element in the sketch.

The star was die cut from Copper Foil using the second largest star from the Stitched Stars Dies and I heat embossed one of the images from Pattern Play in white to add a little interest to the solid background before popping the star up with dimensionals.

The symbol and letters were die cut using the Playful Alphabet Dies and I used the *new* Foam Adhesive Sheets to die cut the letters again to add dimension.

I can see I’m going to use these a lot in the future, it was so much easier than trimming tiny pieces of dimensional to fit, 💖 them!

I added a plain white layer to the inside and stamped a sentiment from Pattern Play in Night of Navy ink. To dress it up a little I cut the swirling star design from the Stitched Stars Dies from the white layer and inlaid it with a Copper Foil one – love how this turned out 🙂

Cheers,
Karen
