A Little Sparkle

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | A Little Sparkle

Happy Monday everyone 🙂 I have a sweet little card to share with you today that I think may be the sugar & spiciest, all things niciest card I’ve ever made, but I it! who would have thought it would take so long to find my inner Disney princess 😉

I’m playing along with this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge CTS#362 which is a great design and full of so many possibilities, make sure to hop over and see what awesome ideas the design team has come up with.

Little Paper Party, CTS#362, A Little Sparkle, Magical Day, 1

I knew I wanted to use this sweet unicorn from A Little Sparkle (Lawn Fawn) so stamped her onto some Whisper White cardstock in Basic Grey ink and coloured her in with Stampin’ Blends Markers  in some soft pastel shades.

I die cut her out using the coordinating dies and added a Vellum cloud and rainbow in coordinating colours to dress her up. I was going to use a plain white card base, but fortunately had this piece of Pleased As Punch DSP on my desk, all my die cut elements just looked so right against this rainy background so that’s the way I went 🙂

The sentiment is from Magical Day (retired) and I used my Stamparatus and Highland Heather ink to get is straight and centred. I layered this up with some coordinating cardstock and adhered it towards the base of my card.

I then trimmed and added the rainbow and popped up my unicorn & cloud with dimensionals. The final touch to my project was the liberal use of Clear Wink of Stella to the rainbow, cloud and parts of the unicorn. This adds such a lovely sparkle and really makes this simple card a bit more special 🙂

I finished off the inside with some more die cut layers and stamped her one more time in a corner. I haven’t added a sentiment yet, I’m still looking for the perfect one, but I can always leave it as is and have lots of room to write a personal message 🙂

I can’t describe how much I enjoyed making today’s project, I haven’t had so much fun in such a long time. I don’t know whether it was playing with different products, the colours or the super cuteness of everything, anyway I had fun and that’s the main thing isn’t it?

Cheers,
Karen
