All Geared Up for Father’s Day

Wow! Father’s Day is literally around the corner here in Australia, where on earth did August go? One advantage though, is that the 2019 Holiday Catalogue will be going live soon – yay! and you’ll be able to get all your goodies for your Christmas crafting 🙂

We’re not there yet however, so today I have another masculine card to share with you using the Geared Up Garage stamp set & Garage Gears Dies that debuted in the 2019 Occasions Catalogue and carried over to the 2019-20 Annual Catalogue.

My card today was inspired by this one I saw on Pinterest. I loved the look of the gears in bright colours as opposed to the metallic I’ve usually seen and thought it would be a fun change.

I chose Blueberry Bushel, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler & Garden Green cardstocks to cut the gears from and then played around with them until I got a look I liked. Most of them are adhered flat to a Whisper White card front with Tombow, but I decided to pop up the ones overlapping the large gear with the *new* Black Dimensionals coming inthe 2019 Holiday Catalogue (available September 4, 2019).

The sentiment is from All Geared Up, stamped in Basic Grey ink and cut out with the coordinating die. I added a few more gears behind this element to dress it up a little and popped it up as well.

I used the same colours as my gears to stamp the nuts around the edge of my card base and adhered a Basic Grey layer and the card front on top.

The final touch on the front of my card was a layer of Clear Wink of Stella over the popped up gears, it added a lovely sparkle to my card, but isn’t too much – at least in my opinion 😉

I finished off the inside with the same layers as the front and added a few of the extra gears to tie everything together.
