Farewell 2017-19 In Colors

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Farewell 2017-19 In Colors

I can’t believe we’re in May already which means a brand new catalogue is just around the corner! It also means our current catalogue is ending 😦 and it’s time to say goodbye to some of our favourite things.

Today I’m farewelling the 2017-19 In ColorsBerry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink & Tranquil Tide & thought I’d pair them with the Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away dies that are also retiring.

As I’ve left my goodbyes a little late this year I wanted to use all the colours in one project and the large balloon from Up & Away was perfect to showcase all these colours one last time. I die cut the different sections from the retiring cardstocks and added a white outline over the top.

I also stamped and die cut the smaller balloons in each colour to fill up my sky background.

To create the “sky” I used a sponge dauber and Balmy Blue ink on Balmy Blue cardstock to add a little texture. I cut a panel from this using a die from my stash and adhered it to a Thick Whisper White card base.

I arranged the balloons and clouds as I liked and adhered them to my card front with either Tombow or dimensionals – for some extra texture. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Balmy Blue, trimmed & popped up at the top of my card.

I stamped another sentiment on the inside – using my Stamparatus to get it straight 😉 and added the final balloon for a simple decoration.

The retiring 2017-19 In Colors are still available (as of May 1), but only while supplies last (the ink refills have SOLD OUT), so if any are of them are a favourite make sure to stock up soon! I’m definitely going to miss Lemon Lime Twist the most, it’s such a bright zesty colour, I’m hoping it will make a reappearance one day 🙂

Cheers,
Karen
