Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Twinkle Twinkle…

Today I have another quick and easy card to share with you using one of my favourite sets from the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue, Little Twinkle.

The design for this card was inspired by the current AAA Cards CAS Game #134 challenge. This challenge is to use only one corner & there is an optional twist of music, but the must have is to keep it clean and simple (CAS).

I decided to use one of the large sentiments from Little Twinkle as my focal image and hope the words “twinkle, twinkle little star” can also count as the music as well 🙂

I used a Sponge Dauber and Night of Navy ink to create a background for my sentiment and added the large heart image in Blueberry Bushel (stamped off once) to add some extra interest.

After all my background ink was dry, I heat embossed the sentiment in White Embossing Powder to really help it stand out from the dark background as well as adding some subtle texture and shine.

A few of the Twinkle Adhesive Backed Sequins add even more sparkle and helped fill out my image a little,but I don’t think take away from the CAS look of this card.

I adhered this layer to a Night of Navy card base that I’d stamped the small star cluster around the edges tone-on-tone and that finished off my card front – this was really quick and easy once I’d figured out which elements to use 😉

I’ve just added a smaller sponged background on my inside panel, a few of the smaller stamps and some more sequins to dress it up a little, but decided to leave off a sentiment for the moment.

I’m leaning towards this being a baby card, but think it could be used for lots of other occasions so leaving it blank now just means I can personalise it when the time is right 🙂

I really enjoyed making today’s card, I find it difficult to keep it clean and simple even though I love that look – typical 😉 I guess I’ll just have to keep practicing 🙂
