I’m back with another Valentine’s Day card in a traditional red & white colourway to share with you today. I used the Meant To Be Bundle for most of my card front and got to use a few more of the dies from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits – loving the stitched scalloped edge 🙂

Although this framelit set has a lot of heart dies, it has five other dies, a stitched scalloped edgelit, a floral, two flourishes and a border die which work beautifully with the hearts, but can also stand alone. Those little accent pieces add a lot of versatility to this set as I can use them on other projects year-round.

I used one of the heart outlines I’d die cut for my previous card (here) and mixed and matched the Whisper White and Poppy Parade hearts to fill it in. The white hearts were looking a little plain so I searched through my stamp sets and found the “love” sentiment from Thoughtful Banners which was the perfect size to stamp on all the bigger hearts.

The large heart was die cut using one of the scalloped framelits, these ones cut out an outline and the internal heart shape separately which made it easy to mix and match colours. As I wanted to pop this element up I used some Tear n’ Tape on the back to keep the pieces together and then I could treat it just like one piece.

I die cut the lower border of my front panel using the stitched scalloped edgelit and adhered a scrap of the Santa’s Workshop DSP (retired) along the bottom to add some extra interest & texture to my simple card.

I used stamps from Ribbon of Courage to decorate the inside of my card and liked how this now made my Valentine’s Day card “non-romantic”, I’d happily give this to one of my kids or send it to my mum or brothers 🙂
