Hello Sweetie

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Hello Sweetie

Hi everyone! I know I’ve been MIA for a while now, I just needed to get a little balance back into my life, sometimes you just need to stop and re-evaluate your why 🙂 Anyway, today I have a bright and cheerful card to share with you made using the Lemon Zest stamp set found in the SU Annual Catalogue.

The design is inspired by this week’s CTS#283 challenge and was perfect to help me get my creative mojo going again.

We’re getting towards the end of Winter here in Brisbane and bright Spring colours were calling my name, so I pulled out my Grapefruit Grove, Flirty Flamingo and Mango Melody to create a fun background of sweet citrus slices.

I stamped three extra slices and punched them out with a 1-3/4″ Circle Punch along with some leaves in Granny Apple Green punched out with the coordinating Lemon Builder Punch.

I die cut a Whisper White square using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and stamped my greeting using the Make A Difference stamp set. This was my first time using this set and I was impressed with how easy the letters were to line up, but they are super tiny, so I made sure to clean and put them away as soon as I’d finished so I didn’t misplace any.

I then arranged my slices and leaves as I liked and added this element to a rectangle of Granny Apple Green cardstock. I popped this up on my fun background and adhered it to some more Granny Apple Green and a Thick Whisper White card base. A few Artisan Pearls and a little Wink of Stella on my punched pieces add a little shine and finish off my card front 🙂

To dress up the inside I added the same layers with another slice and some leaves. I decided not to add another sentiment as this card would be great for lots of different occasions and leaving it blank kept that versatility.

Stampin’ Up! has lots of great promotions on offer this month and I will have all the info up by the end of next week. I have less time to spend on my blog now so things might take a little longer to update, but I’ll get it finished asap.
