Today I have a fun card to share with you made using the *new* Twinkle Builder Punch – such a cute name, which is part of the Twinkle Twinkle Suite on pages 82-83 of the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue.
This suite is found in the Kids & Babies section of the new catalogue, but I think both the stamp set and punch can be used for much more than just little ones, which I hope today’s project is an example of 🙂
The colours I used for this project were Gray Granite, Night of Navy, Whisper White plus some Silver Glimmer Paper (retired). I don’t have any of the new glimmer paper yet, so am not sure if the new silver is a different colour however, I do know that it’s thinner & easier to die cut and I’m looking forward to that 🙂
To create the card front I stamped the “gravel” image from One Wild Ride in Gray Granite one half of a Whisper White piece of cardstock for an easy background.
I used my Simply Scored to create diagonal lines on a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and punched out a few stars with the Twinkle Builder Punch. Before I adhered it to the white piece I added Silver Glimmer Paper behind the cut outs and then a few more silver stars on top.
Some Night of Navy stars dress up the other side a little and a 1/8″ strip of Silver Glimmer Paper at the join adds even more sparkle 🙂
The sentiment is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and was stamped in Night of Navy onto Whisper White and die cut with the *new* Stitched Labels Framelits. I popped it up with dimensionals on my card front, added that to a layer of Grey Granite and then a Thick Whisper White card base and all done 🙂
Card Cuts:
- Standard C6 card base in Thick Whisper White (10.5 x 14.8cm, when folded)
- Gray Granite (10 x 14.3cm)
- Whisper White (9.5 x 13.8cm)
- Night of Navy (6.5 x 13.8cm)
- Silver Glimmer Paper (1/8″ x 13.8cm)
The Little Twinkle Bundle (save 10%) was one of my must-haves when I first looked through the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue, I could see so much more than just baby cards – although the above samples from Stampin’ Up! are gorgeous! The clear-mount bundle price is great for such a versatile set and there are loads of other sentiments that mix & match with this set as well.
Make sure you check out & follow my SU 2018-19 Annual Catalogue Pinterest Board, I add inspiration regularly to this board and am dying to see all the creative ideas other crafters come up with for this set, as soon I as spot them, they’ll be pinned 😉
Cheers,
Karen
