Use It Up! Challenge & Giveaway

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Use It Up! Challenge & Giveaway

As you know our 2017-18 Annual Catalogue & Occasions Catalogue will be finishing soon and lots of goodies are retiring to make room for gorgeous new ones  – if you haven’t heard click here for all the details. So, I’m on a use-it-up mission to clear out all my retiring DSP and am hoping you’ll help me 🙂

I’m starting with the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP (retiring – available while stocks last), which is part of the Whole Lot of Lovely Suite. It’s a fun floral paper with several sheets of larger images suitable for fussy cutting and an awesome colour combination of Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Pool Party, Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide – there are other colours, but those are the stand out ones for me 🙂

Little Paper Party, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, Colourful Seasons, #1

I don’t want this lovely paper to be stored away, gathering dust, so have cut most of it up into card front size (14.8 x 10.5cm) and played around with a few ideas to create a fun little set of cards that show off this beautiful DSP and most importantly uses it up!

I was originally going to mix and match sentiments from different stamp sets, but sometimes I find too much choice sucks my creative mojo, so decided to stick to the Colorful Seasons set, which has some lovely large sentiments in a gorgeous font that seemed to suit this DSP perfectly.

I wanted these cards to be quick and easy to make and replicate, some DSP, a sentiment, a little embellishment and done! Some of them use scraps left over from other projects which is great – I hate waste – and I’ll have some other examples using even smaller pieces as well.

I’m not sharing the details for each card as they’re all a little different and vary depending on the size of DSP and images on it. I simply chose a design, picked some coordinating cardstock and a sentiment I liked and played around with the layout until I got something I was happy with.

I really enjoyed creating this set of quick and easy cards and thought some of you might like to as well, so I’m having a Whole Lot of Lovely Giveaway and have put together a kit with enough goodies to make at least five cards.

Everything in the picture above will be included in the kit and is on the Retirement List (except the cardstock) and I’ll probably add a few extra goodies before I send it off to the winner as well. (Note: Envelopes will not be included with the kit)

Leave a comment on this post only or on my Facebook page and let me know which Designer Series Paper pack you’ll miss the most – mine is Coffee Break 😦 and I’ll announce a winner next Wednesday (April 25).

This competition is open to everyone, however, I can only send the kit to an Australian address (Stampin’ Up! policy). If the winner lives overseas I’ll send you the five completed cards pictured in this post and will include the C6 envelopes as I know this is an unusual size in some countries.

I plan to have this Use-It-Up! Challenge & Giveaway each week till the end of May and hope you’ll play long as well. Any kits that aren’t won will be made up and sent off to local charities or nursing homes with any extra cards I can make from the rest of that DSP pack.

I’m really looking forward to making room for new things, but if this is a paper you love then stock up now, while you can, so you can enjoy it for even longer 🙂
