Lots of happy

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Lots of happy

Only 6 days left of Sale-A-Bration!

Today I have a quick and easy card to share with you to celebrate the beginning of Autumn, in name only here, unfortunately 😦 I’m using one of my favourite stamp sets, Vintage Leaves for today’s project, and it’s definitely getting me in the mood for cosy blankets, warm drinks & chilly mornings 🙂

The design for today’s card was inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #329 challenge. I love all the different projects that people have created using this layout, make sure you check them out.

Little Paper Party, Vintage Leaves, Lots of Happy Card Kit, Wood Textures DSP, #1

My take on this fun design is very simple, but sometimes we need to make simple cards for a change, right?

I started off stamping three of the leaves from Vintage Leaves in Momento Black ink onto Thick Very Vanilla cardstock. I thought these were the perfect images to practice colouring with my Stampin’ Blends Markers – I need lots of practice 😉

Note: Due to their popularity, Stampin’ Blends Markers are currently in non-orderable status, but will be available again soon.

Even though the Stampin’ Blends Markers are currently unavailable there are loads of other options to colour these lovely leaves in such as, Stampin’ Write Markers, Watercolor Pencils, Classic Stampin’ Pads with either a Blender Pen or Aqua Painter, or even using Brusho Crystal Colour.

After I’d finished colouring my leaves I die cut them using the coordinating Leaflets Framelits and popped them up on the front of my card with dimensionals.

Little Paper Party, Vintage Leaves, Lots of Happy Card Kit, Wood Textures DSP, #3

I used the largest circle from the Layering Circles Framelits to die cut a circle from one corner of a piece of Wood Textures DSP. I adhered this to a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and added my leaf cluster in the cut out section.

One of the sentiments from the Lots of Happy Card Kit was stamped in Early Espresso ink, trimmed into a banner and popped up with dimensionals as well. I really like all the sentiments that are in this kit, but have to admit that this one is my favourite, it’s suitable for so many different occasions and who doesn’t like lots of happy?

I’m adding this card to my masculine pile, so decided not to add any extra embellishments, just keeping it simple 🙂

Cheers,
Karen
