It’s a Magical Day

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | It’s a Magical Day

I was planning another Valentine’s Day project for today, but my original idea just flew out the window and left this sweet treat holder in its’ place 🙂 I quite often design treat holders around specific goodies that I find and todays’ little bags were created for the swirl or unicorn lollipops inside.

I finally inked up the gorgeous unicorn from the Magical Day stamp set as it was the perfect match for this project and now know it’s going to be difficult to stop using it – I apologise in advance 😉

Little Paper Party, Magical Day Bundle, Bubbles & Fizz DSP, #1

I made the bags from the fun Bubbles & Fizz DSP (a FREE Sale-A-Bration choice) and you can make 4 of these from one 12″ x 12″ piece and still have leftovers for other projects.

The finished size is: 5″ x 1-1/4″ x 1″

DSP: 4-3/4″ x 6″
Score @ 1″ (on 6″ side)
Score @ 1/4″, 1-1/4″ 2-1/2″ & 3-1/2″ (on 4-3/4″ side)
Use a 3/4″ Circle Punch to punch a hole from the front of the bag.
Trim the 1″ section to form the bottom tabs, fold and burnish the score lines and assemble as usual.

Little Paper Party, Magical Day Bundle, Bubbles & Fizz DSP, #3

I punched a couple of holes at the top of each bag and tied them shut with the coordinating Shimmer Ribbon Pack (another FREE Sale-A-Bration choice)

I stamped the unicorn from Magical Day in Momento Black ink and coloured the horn, mane and tail in with Stampin’ Write Markers using the same colours as the DSP. You could also use ink pads and a Blender Pen or Stampin’ Blends Markers to colour these in as well.

I adhered my die cut unicorn to a piece of coordinating cardstock, punched with the Pretty Label Punch and added a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments underneath. A star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes added a little sparkle and I popped this element onto the front of my bag with dimensionals.

I hope you liked my quick and easy project today. These come together so quickly and look so cute in person. My youngest son was pleased that there were boy and girl unicorns, but I think would take any of them if it meant he’d get a lollipop 🙂

Cheers,
Karen
