Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Bubbles & Fizz for Australia Day – Part 2
Welcome to part 2 of my Australia Day series featuring the Bubbles & Fizz DSP (available as a FREE reward in the Sale-A-Bration brochure). I chose this particular DSP for my projects as it’s the only current paper with a blue, red and white colour combination.
Even though the blue is Bermuda Bay and the red, Calypso Coral, I loved the non-traditional, vintage feel they gave to my projects and the extra pops of colour from Lemon Lime Twist and Daffodil Delight seemed the perfect additions to a Summer celebration.
Today’s project is some small bags made using the Gift Bag Punch Board. Depending on the type of celebration these could be perfect favour bags or hold some fun activities for the kids to enjoy while the adults are engrossed in the cricket – a painful memory from my own childhood 😉
The bags use a 6″ x 11″ piece of DSP – save that 1″ strip for a coming project – and I made them using the directions for a medium bag following the directions printed on the Gift Bag Punch Board.
To make a top for my bag, I die cut a scalloped circle from another piece of DSP from the same pack using the largest scalloped framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits, folded it in half and added a couple of 1″ wide banners to the centre.
“Celebrate” was die cut from Gold Glimmer Paper using the Celebrate You Thinlits (available as a FREE Level 2 reward in the Sale-A-Bration brochure) and a few stars were die cut using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.
I’m loving the new word thinlits in the Sale-A-Bration brochure and you’ll be seeing a lot more of them from me and if you look closely you’ll see they’re going to be around long after Sale-A-Bration has finished, what a great opportunity to get them now, for FREE! 🙂
The bag is closed with a Gold Library Clip and two ribbons from the Shimmer Ribbon Combo Pack (in the Sale-A-Bration brochure) were tied on with some Gold Mini Sequin Trim for extra sparkle – not that it needed any more 😉
I hope you liked my sweet little bags today, they would be perfect for so many different occasions and a gorgeous way to wrap up a small gift as well. They’re such an easy project and would look completely different using a different DSP – think Myths & Magic for kids, Painted with Love for Valentine’s Day or a wedding or True Gentlemen for the guys in your life for just a few ideas.
I’ll see you soon with Part 3!
Cheers,
Karen
