A new month means a new FREE card kit and product giveaway and this month’s kit features one of my favourite Christmas papers in the Holiday Catalogue, Christmas Around the World.

This is a fun paper pack with lots of little festive images on one side – suitable for fussy cutting and gorgeous backgrounds on the reverse that can be used well beyond Christmas. It also happens to be one of the papers available as part of the Buy 3, Get 1 FREE promotion that is on this month.

This month’s kit contains a 6″ x 6″ piece of DSP and enough supplies to create two cards. The card base, ribbon and glimmer scalloped circle will vary depending on which piece of DSP is in the kit.

The cards I created use both side of the DSP, I thought this was a good way to use your paper economically yet still have some variety on the card. On my samples I’ve used the background as the longer piece, but you could easily reverse that for a different look.

The DSP panels are backed with a thin Basic Black layer, I really liked how this framed the paper and you’ll receive these layers in your kit.

I stamped a sentiment from the coordinating Brightly Lit Christmas stamp set in Momento Black ink onto the stitched circle and adhered that to a scalloped glimmer one for some sparkle.

A swish of 1/8″ metallic ribbon adds some more shine and I popped the sentiment up on this panel with dimensionals. I popped up the completed panel as well for some extra texture and even though there are two raised layers the finished card is still quite flat and postage friendly 🙂

I added a sentiment from Oh, What Fun to the inside as well as a little sprig of holly. I love the size of this greeting, a nice big greeting means less writing 😉

The sentiments I’ve used on my samples are just suggestions and you can use any that you’d like. Your kit will come with these pieces unstamped as per Stampin’ Up! policy.

I created this months kit with flexibility in mind and as you’ll receive the DSP and ribbon uncut you can easily come up with lots of different designs and can make this piece go a lot further than just two cards. • Standard C6 card base (assorted colours) & envelopes (x2)
• Christmas Around the World DSP (assorted designs) – 6″ x 6″
• Whisper White cardstock – 10 x 14.3cm, embossed (x2), plain (x2)
• Whisper White stitched circle (x2)
• Glimmer Paper scalloped circle (assorted colours) – x2
• Basic Black cardstock – 1-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ (x2) & 2-5/8″ x 3-1/8″ (x2)
• 1/8″ Metallic Ribbon (assorted colours) – 18″

You will need to supply your own adhesive, stamps and ink to complete this kit.
