Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Merry Little Christmas Memories & More
Today I’m playing along with this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch! #239 challenge. As soon as I saw this weeks’ design it reminded me of a card I’d made previously using a Memories & More card pack, so I decided to pull out my Merry Little Christmas pack for my take on this weeks fun sketch.
I was really stuck on the sentiment strip on the sketch as my favourite card combinations used sentiments already printed on the cards – I threw caution to the wind and went with the printed sentiment – such a rebel 😉
I really like using the printed sentiments on the cards and trimmed “Oh What Fun” off a small card to attach to another one. The join was covered with some Gold Mini Sequin Trim and backed with a skinny layer of Old Olive cardstock.
Black really was the best colour option for the base of my card, but needed just a little something extra, so I cut a standard layer and ran it through the Big Shot with Quilted Top Embossing Folder. This is my favourite way to add texture to a card front without having to worry about the base being distorted by the embossing.
I wanted a bit more sparkle on my card – it is a Christmas one after all 🙂 so added a few Metallic Enamel Shapes to some of the ornaments and popped up this layer with dimensionals on the front of the card.
Inside has some simple layering and a sentiment from Oh, What Fun stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. A little holly from the same set dressed it up and my card was all done!

The Memories & More card packs are lots of fun to use for both pocket memory keeping and paper crafting. I used the Merry Little Christmas pack for today’s project which coordinates with the Merry Little Christmas Suite in the Holiday Catalogue.
I have to admit I’m not much of a memory keeper, but really like using the different elements for card making and even though I’ve only used the cards today I know I have stacks of coordinating options if I want to mix and match them with other products.
If you’d like some more ideas on how to use these fun card packs take a look at my SU Memories & More Pinterest board, I’ve found lots of awesome ideas so far and add to it regularly.
I hope you liked my quick and easy card today, I really enjoyed breaking open my card pack and having a play 🙂
