Welcome to another Masculine Monday! Today I have a bright, cheerful, nautical inspired Father’s Day card to share with you. I was really pleased with how this project turned out as the only nautical stamp I have is the anchor, but I think the other elements came together well to give the right feel to the entire card 🙂

I’m playing along with the CAS(E) this Sketch! #234 challenge this week and used their fun sketch as a starting point. I knew I wanted to use the anchor from Guy Greetings as the focal image and the rest of the card just grew from there 🙂

I trimmed 3/4″ from one side of the Pacific Point card base and adhered a 1″ wide strip of Quilted Christmas DSP (available 1/9) on the inside – this is a gorgeous 6″ x 6″ paper stack that is going to be super popular and can be used for so much more than Christmas.

The anchor was stamped in Basic Grey, coloured with Watercolour Pencils and fussy cut out. It’s popped up on a circle of Pacific Point embossed with the Pinewood Planks TIEF. I adhered it sideways as it reminded me of water ripples and seemed perfect to see through the stitched circle porthole.

The banner outline is from Number of Years and “Happy Father’s Day” is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. A few Enamel Shapes stars added a little shine and were the perfect finishing touch 🙂

A quick and easy card today, I hope you liked it. I really enjoyed going on a nautical hunt through my stash 🙂
