Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Whole Lot of Lovely
Stampin’ Up! released some simply gorgeous new designer series papers in this years’ Annual Catalogue and one that caught my eye straight away was the Whole lot of Lovely DSP which is part of a suite with the same name. I love the unexpected colour combination used in this pack, especially the black with the florals which is what I’ve used on today’s project.
Today’s card was CASE’d from the catalogue (p87), I love the simple layout on the top right for such a striking paper and stayed true to the design with just a few changes to make it my own 🙂
My card has the same layer of DSP, strip of embossed Tranquil Tide and placement of elements on the front as the original, but I changed out the sentiment to one from You’re Delightful – a host only set – and added some different embellishments.
The You’re Delightful host set has two large sentiments that are perfect for quick and easy card making and a couple of floral images from Happy Birthday Gorgeous was all the extra stamping needed to create the focal point of my card.
I had to use the largest oval framelit to cut this sentiment out so used one of the gold Metallic Foil Doilies cut in half to create an extra layer for this element and popped it up with dimensionals to add some extra texture to the front of my card.
I’ve kept the inside of my card super simple with a white writing layer and another strip of embossed cardstock across the bottom. This is one of those all occasion cards so I haven’t added a sentiment inside and can personalise it when needed 🙂
