Coffee Café Happiness

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Coffee Café Happiness

It’s no secret that I’m quite fond of a cup of coffee, it’s how I like to start my day and I look forward to my special night-time one after the busyness of the day is over. So when I saw the Coffee Break Suite in the *new* Annual Catalogue it leapt onto my wish want list and the whole suite was one of the products on my first order – I might have been a little greedy 😉

Little Paper Party, Top 10 Collage, Coffee Break Suite

Today I have a project made with this suite to share with you and I can see I’m going to get a ton of use from it over the coming year, it’s an awesome all-rounder suite and I love that it’s great for masculine projects too.

Little Paper Party, Coffee Cafe Bundle, Timeless Textures, #1

I started with a watercolour wash background on Shimmer White cardstock in Soft Sky, which is one of the colours in the Coffee Break DSP. I couldn’t quite get the intensity of colour I wanted with it so I added a little Pool Party to ramp it up.

The ring marks are from Timeless Textures – a great set of background stamps – I love it when I can find stamps from other sets that coordinate perfectly 🙂 These were stamped in Soft Suede and the rest of the embellishments layered over the top.

Little Paper Party, Coffee Cafe Bundle, Timeless Textures, #3

The little coffee cups are from the DSP and coordinate with a framelit from the Coffee Cups Framelits – no fussy cutting required 🙂 I added the smiley faces with a Basic Black Marker as it tied in with the sentiment I chose, such a simple thing but it really adds something I think.

Note: There isn’t a stamp for this little cup in the stamp set, but I’ll be showing you a little trick to create your own mini cups in any design you want in a future post.

I adhered a swish of ribbon with some Fast Fuse and layered my cups over that with dimensionals, the tiny tag is die cut from the DSP, a heart stamped on top and adhered with a glue dot to finish off my embellishment cluster.

The sentiment was stamped in Garden Green and I masked off part of it to stamp just the part I wanted. You can also use a marker to do this as well, it’s a great way to get more out of your sentiments.

Little Paper Party, Coffee Cafe Bundle, Timeless Textures, #2

Inside has just a little decoration, some more rings, stamped off once this time and a few coffee beans in Early Espresso ink.

Stampin’ Up! has released some videos showcasing some of the new products and there’s one for this suite that I’d like to share with you. I love seeing products in action and getting some extra inspiration as well 🙂

I hope you liked todays project, I had so much fun making it and please don’t think this suite is only for coffee lovers, you can put anything you’d like in those takeaway cups. The DSP is also very versatile, there a loads of great background designs and the colours are perfect for masculine projects.
