Crafting Forever Stamp-a-Stack

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Crafting Forever Stamp-a-Stack

Every month I like to come up with a super simple design that I can use to make a stack of quick and easy cards. Usually I make birthday cards, but this month I decided celebrate all the awesome creative inspiration in the *new* Annual Catalogue by making a stack of cards that are all about creativity 🙂

Little Paper Party, Crafting Forever, Pick a Pattern DSP, Stamp-a-Stack June 2017, #1

The Crafting Forever stamp set wasn’t initially on my wish list, but when I saw some of the amazing samples made with this set I just had to get it and I’m so glad I did, it’s perfect for my creative friends.

When I was planning this project I knew I wanted to pair this stamp set with this sheet from the Pick a Pattern DSP, I just think they go together perfectly and I’m pleased the DSP is generic enough to be suitable for lots of different creative styles, not just paper crafting 🙂

The DSP strip is 2″ x 14.85cm and layered onto a piece of cardstock 2-1/8″ x 14.85cm which creates a narrow border either side. This was added to a Thick Whisper White card base and a sentiment stamped in coordinating ink in the lower right corner.

The images were stamped in the same ink as the sentiment and die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. A matching frame was die cut from the same coloured cardstock using a larger stitched framelit and a coordinating framelit from the Layering Squares Framelits.

The solid frame was adhered to the base with Tombow and the stamped image was popped up with dimensionals at a contrasting angle to add some extra texture.

You could make this card even simpler by just cutting the images and contrasting cardstock with your trimmer and offset layering them, but I really, really love the stitched detail and the faux frame so was happy to add a few extra steps. I think it elevates a very plain and simple card into something a little more special 🙂

I hope you like this month’s Stamp-a-Stack, I’m planning to send some to my team for a little encouragement and might make a notecard sized version to have on hand for quick notes.
