Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Karen Robinson | New Catalogue Top 10
The big day has finally arrived!!! The Stampin’ Up! 2017-18 Annual Catalogue is live and all the amazing products inside are available to order – I know you can’t see this but I’m actually rubbing my hands with glee as I’m writing this 🙂
You can be assured that I was online as early as possible to place my order and hopefully all of my picks made it into my basket – I was too afraid to do the maths so some might have to wait till round two 😉
Anywhoo, I thought I’d share my Top 10 must-haves from this year’s catalogue, not that I don’t love/want much more than this small selection, but you’ve got to start somewhere right?
#1: Planner Kit
Although the rest of my top 10 isn’t in any preference order, this was the first item to go into my basket! I was thrilled to see a planner in this year’s catalogue and can’t wait to get started with it.
The details are on pages 12-13 and some of the features that sold it for me are:
- It’s undated – so you can start anytime and you don’t feel as though you have to play catch up
- There’s a two page spread for each month as well as two pages for each week
- Lots of embellishments to pretty it up, just because it’s functional doesn’t mean it can’t be pretty 🙂
- There’s a refill!!!
#2: Tabs For Everything Bundle
This bundle (on page 43) wasn’t initially on my radar until I realised it coordinated perfectly with the planner as well as having stacks of versatile mix and match sentiments and images suitable for all sorts of projects.
#3: Coffee Break Suite
I think the name says it all, coffee! Love it all, the stamp set, paper, framelits, embellishments. Mmmm… coffee 🙂
BTW it’s on pages 30-31, but you might want to make a coffee first 😉
#4: Pick a Pattern Suite
This suite is found on pages 40-41 and was available for demonstrators to pre-order so I’ve already had a chance to play with some of the products. It’s a really modern, eclectic assortment and I love that there’s something for everyone. A really versatile suite of products that appeal to a wide range of tastes.
#5: Birthday Memories Suite
Oh My! When I first saw this suite of products (pages 68-69) my heart just sang, absolutely everything about it appeals to me! The vintage, little golden book colours and imagery, the framelits that not only cut out the stamped images but also die cut images from the coordinating paper!!! I love the stitched edge ribbons and the sentiments are suitable for much more than children’s birthdays. ♥♥♥
#6: Foil Frenzy Suite
This suite – on pages 76-77 – was also available to pre-order and though I didn’t pick it up initially I have it now, mainly for the awesome Happy Birthday thinlit. I love die cut words, you can do so much with them! I’m also looking forward to getting my hands on the Foil Frenzy DSP, I think it will be one of those papers that is so much more spectacular in person than can be captured in a photograph.
#7: Lemon Zest Bundle
Ok, this is my fun bundle (page 90), when I first went through the catalogue it made me laugh out loud and just jumped onto my must-have list. I love the sentiments and I love punches and I’m quite fond of lemons so it only makes sense that it should come and live at my house 😉
#8: Colour Theory Suite
This was another set that was available to pre-order and it is an awesome one! It covers all the seasons, the framelits are gorgeous and the accessories – glitter enamel dots, I want them in ALL the Stampin’ Up! colours! 🙂 The sentiments in this set are lovely, really happy, positive ones in a gorgeous font. It also has a coordinating Memories & More Card Pack which will only stretch the options for this suite of products.
This suite is found on pages 146-147 and is a great all-rounder.
#9: Wood Textures Suite
The only 3D suite in my Top 10 (pages 158-159), but an awesome one! I love everything about this suite of products, the country feel to the stamp set and matching crate. The wood grain DSP – seriously that paper is fantastic and I can’t even imagine how much I’ll be going through over the coming year. The Copper Trim, this is one interesting ribbon, it ties nicely and has a lovely shimmer but there’s some other things going on as well that I’m keen to experiment with.
#10: Host Sets
I know this is a bit of a cheat, but Stampin’ Up! have really outdone themselves this year with their host sets, they are awesome and I want them all! Host sets are special stamp sets that can only be purchased with Stampin’ Rewards. In Australia, rewards start when your order reaches $250 before postage and tax, and you can use them to purchase these stamp sets, there’s no other way to get them.
There’s more information about Stampin’ Rewards on page 219 of the catalogue and the Host sets are after this, there are some really good ones and well worth considering if you place on order that size.
I hope you enjoyed my Top 10, it was really hard to pick just ten from such an amazing range of products. I’d love to know what your favourites are, leave a comment and let me know, I’d love to hear from you.
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful day and that you found some creative time today.
