Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Wood Textures Suite
I’m playing along with another CAS(E) this Sketch! #222 challenge this week and have really left it to the last-minute to submit my entry, I thought I had another day!
As soon as I saw the lighter area on the left of this sketch I knew I wanted to have those gorgeous roses from Wood Words peeping out and the rest of the card just grew from there.
I added a crate cut from the Wood Textures DSP using the Wood Crate Framelits and stuffed it full of letters made with the Love Notes Framelits (retiring). I thought they tied in with the sentiment nicely and who wouldn’t like a crate full of happy mail? 🙂
A sweet little tag, some Copper Trim – this stuff is amazing – and a piece of doily finished off my card front. I like all the white on this card, I think it stops the red from overwhelming the card and I love the crisp contrast between the two.
The roses meandered to the inside as well, I stamped them along the bottom and added a Real Red scallop, die cut using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. Another layer of Whisper White covered up the edges and kept it crisp and fresh.
I hope you liked my card today, I love this suite of products and the combination of red, white and full-blown roses always reminds me of the country 🙂
I’m really looking forward to playing with the Wood Textures Suite more – I haven’t even made a full crate yet! – and it will be available for everyone to purchase very soon, June 1. Not long now!!
