Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Crazy About You, Little Foxy
I made this little notecards set quite some time ago and am finally sharing it, just in the nick of time too, as most of the products used in this project are on the retirement list and won’t be available after May 31! Two of them in particular I’m really sad to see go, the Crazy About You (retiring) stamp set and matching Hello You Thinlits (retiring) have had a lot of love in my craft room and will be sorely missed 😦
I paired these with the A Little Foxy DSP (retiring – SOLD OUT) and have to confess that the colour combination in this paper pack has always been a little challenging for me and these cards were not quick to come together but I’m glad I persevered because I think they turned out quite sweet in the end, phew!
I used Whisper White Notecards and Envelopes for the card bases which are just the right size for sweet little notes, but still big enough to look like a “proper” card. All the sentiments were stamped in Calypso Coral and are from the Crazy About You (retiring) stamp set. This is an awesome set that contains 33 stamps and is one of the few available in wood mount, clear mount and photopolymer. I’ve always loved how it coordinates with the Hello You Thinlits (retiring) and that you can mix and match to come up with just the right sentiment for the recipient.
The heart and star embellishments were die cut using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits using scraps from both the foil and DSP, however you could easily replicate this with punches. The only other embellishment is the Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine (retiring – SOLD OUT) and I really like the crisscross effect on each card.
There is a coordinating cardstock pack available for A Little Foxy DSP that has 24 sheets of cardstock in Pool Party, Smoky Slate and Thick Whisper White (8 of each). I think these are such a great idea to build up your colour collection without having to buy individual packs of one colour. There are different packs available in both catalogues and are well worth a look.
