I can’t believe that the first month of the year is over, boy that went fast! I hope you’re keeping up with your goals/resolutions, I’m not doing too badly with mine but there’s always room for improvement 🙂
Anyway, a new month means a new FREE card kit and product giveaway. You’ll receive the card kit when you shop with me and use the current month’s Host Code (no minimum purchase required) and FREE product whenever you spend $90+ and use the current Host Code.

This month’s kit is made using the Lift Me Up bundle and the coordinating Carried Away DSP, which is a Sale-a-Bration only item.
To make the paper go further I’ve chosen my two favourite sheets from this pack and the kits are in two colourways (Night of Navy and Watermelon Wonder) to coordinate with them, you’ll receive one of these chosen at random.
The base of the card is Thick Whisper White and the first layer will come already embossed using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. The DSP layer is 3″ x 4″ and is adhered with an even border around the top and sides leaving room for the 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon at the bottom, which adds a nice bit of sparkle 🙂
The kit will include a 1/2″ x 2-1/4″ piece of Whisper White to help assemble the layered background behind the balloon outline, it’s optional to use this but I found it handy. A strip of adhesive down the centre and I could line up my balloon pieces easily and didn’t have to worry about them moving when I attached the top layer. The basket is the only piece that will need to be attached separately. TIP: If the strip is longer than the balloon part adhere the bottom part of the balloon first so that it overhangs the edge, it’s easier to trim off the top.
I know that gluing down intricate die cut pieces can be fiddly and time-consuming so I will cut the balloon outline with Tear and Tape already attached to the reverse. All you’ll need to do is remove the backing strips to adhere it to the layered background.
Your kit will come with two die cut clouds in Whisper White. In my samples I stamped on the largest one using the co-coordinating Lift Me Up stamp set however, they will arrive blank for you to add whatever sentiment you like.
I’ve added two Metallic Enamel Shapes to embellish the balloons and add a little extra sparkle. You’ll receive two matching shapes in your kit in either circles, stars or hearts, chosen at random.
The free kit for this month will include:
- Standard card base in Thick Whisper White cardstock (x1) and C6 Envelope (x1)
- Night of Navy OR Watermelon Wonder cardstock, embossed 14.3 x 10cm (x1)
- 3″ x 4″ piece of Carried Away DSP (x1)
- Die cut balloon outline (x1)
- Die cut balloon background pieces (x6)
- Die cut Whisper White clouds (x2) – unstamped
- 1/2 x 2-1/4″ piece of Whisper White (x1)
- 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon 5″ (x1)
- Metallic Enamel Shapes (x2)
You will need to supply your own adhesive, stamps and ink to complete this kit.
