12 Days of Christmas 2016 | Day 12

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Karen Robinson – 12 Days of Christmas 2016 | Day 12

At last, the final day, boy am I ready for a rest! I’m going to be taking a little blogging break to the New Year to spend more time with my family and get my house into Christmas order – it’s truly scary. I’d like to thank everyone who’s visited my blog since I started this year, I hope you’ve found inspiration for your own creativity and would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Today’s project is some quick and easy tags that were inspired by the Tin of Tags Kit from this year’s Holiday Catalogue.

I love the Tin of Tags stamp set and its seen a lot of use this Christmas season. I’m so pleased it’s carrying over to the Occasion’s Catalogue and hope, fingers-crossed, that it makes its way into next years’ Annual Catalogue.

This is truly a use it up project, I used Thick Whisper White cardstock scraps and cut them into squares and rectangles, nothing precise, just eyeballing it. Then I chose some inks that coordinated with my gift wrap this year and went to town.

I did like the backgrounds on the tags from the kit and decided to replicate that using the Work of Art stamp set. I used either Crumb Cake or Delightful Dijon stamped off once and just two of the stamps from the set.

The sentiments are in either Cherry Cobbler or Garden Green and then I went back and added some stars or bulbs where I thought a bit extra was needed.

I did trim a few after I’d finished to get the look I was after and then a hole punch and some bakers twine from the Baker’s Twine Trio finished them off. I rarely tie my tags onto my gifts, that would require an exorbitant amount of ribbon, I’ll either knot the end and tape them on so they can be turned over or tie a bow and attach that so they can be flipped up to read the names on the back.

Well short and – hopefully – sweet today. I do hope you like these and they give you a back up plan for when you run out on Christmas Eve 😉

Merry Christmas,
