Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Karen Robinson – 12 Days of Christmas 2016 | Day 2
I’m dreadful for buying seasonal treats and then creating something for them rather than the other way around, which would be soooo much easier, but I have to do it the hard way so it seems 🙂 Anywhoo, after finding these, oh so sweet chocolates, I wanted to package them up so their loveliness could be seen and this is what I came up with.
I used our 2 x 8″ Cello Bags to package up this cuties, with a little tray of Emerald Envy cardstock lined with Presents and Pinecones DSP which made a nice background and keeps them in place inside the bag.
The insert measures 5-1/2 x 2″ scored at 1/4″ on either side and is lined with a piece of 5-1/2 x 1-7/16″ DSP.
Three of the pine boughs were die cut using the Pretty Pines Thinlits and attached to a 1/2″ circle at one end. The words are all die cut from Glimmer Paper using the Christmas Greetings Thinlits, these were then attached to the boughs using spots of Tombow where they touched.
A simple knot of Delightful Dijon Mini Striped Ribbon closes the bag and hides the circle where the boughs meet – I need to work on my knotting skills, my jolly is a bit of a fail 🙂 The boughs are attached to the ribbon with glue dots so the whole thing just slides off to open the bag.
I was so pleased with how these turned out, but my favourite is the jolly snowmen (despite the knot). I said during my Halloween series I didn’t think I’d be able to use Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper for Christmas, but I really like how it looks with Emerald Envy and have been trying to find more uses for this combination this season.
