12 Weeks of Halloween 2016 – Week 11

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Karen Robinson – 12 Weeks of Halloween 2016 – Week 11

We’re nearly at the end of my 12 Weeks of Halloween series for this year and I hope you’ve enjoyed the projects I’ve shared so far. This is the first time I’ve attempted anything like this and I’m feeling quite pleased with myself for getting this far 🙂

Anyway, todays project is really quick and easy and is a great – yet economical – way to use up your Halloween product.

Little Paper Party, Cookie Cutter Halloween, Halloween Night DSP, Treat Bag.jpg

It’s a sweet little treat bag that only requires a 4 x 6″ piece of DSP, that means you can get 6 bags from one 12 x 12″ piece of DSP, which is great if you have loads to make.

I used the Halloween Night DSP for the bags and added a few strips of Halloween Night Washi Tape to each one before attaching the stamped image with dimensionals.

The images are from the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set and were punched out with the coordinating punch. As these are most likely going to end up in the bin after the lollies are devoured I didn’t colour the images but just added a glittery touch literally using glimmer paper scraps and the same punch – I hope you keep all your glimmer paper scraps, that stuff is like gold to me and is perfect for tiny embellishments like this 🙂

The bag is simply stapled closed at the top and I added a baker’s twine bow over the staple to pretty it up.

I’m planning to package our treats in these little bags this year and their small size means they’ll be inexpensive to fill  – which is always a plus 🙂

Quick and Easy Treat Bag Tutorial:
Finished dimensions: 1-3/4″W x 3″H x 1″D

Cut DSP to 4 x 6″
Score on the long side @ 1″, 2-3/4″, 3-3/4″ and 5-1/2″
Score on the short side @ 1″

Cut and trim as per the photo (the small tabs don’t have to be trimmed I did that so it would show better in the photo)

Assemble as usual and decorate as desired.

I hope this is easy to follow, please let me know if you have any questions.

I hope you enjoyed todays project and I know I need to play catch up with the Christmas versions of a few, they’re in the works and are coming I promise.

See you soon.

Cheers,
Karen
