Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Karen Robinson – 12 Weeks of Halloween 2016 – Week 7
We’re past the half way point in our Halloween countdown, which means Halloween is getting close and perhaps, what’s more frightening, Christmas won’t be far behind!!! I hope you’ve been enjoying this series and that you’ve found plenty of inspiration for both of these celebrations so far.
Recently, the small 50g Toblerone chocolates have been on sale here and as they’re a bit of a favourite in our house I bought a few and then thought it would be nice to be able to dress them up a bit to make them seem extra special 🙂 Their shape makes them a bit tricky and after a bit of research I found a great tutorial for a triangular box at Sam Hammond’s blog (pootles.co.uk). I had to alter the original dimensions to get my goodie to fit but the assembly is the same .
I used Basic Grey and Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the boxes and their belly bands (which is how they are kept closed) were made using the Halloween Night DSP. I used the Spooky Fun stamp set and matching framelits for the sentiments and decoration, the Basic Grey one also has a few of the Halloween Night Enamel Dots.
I really love the ends of these boxes, those extra score lines make it look professional and are a lovely detail. I tend to think of this box as having a more “grown up” look but I think a lot of that depends on how you decorate them.
I’ve added a couple of photos to prove that you can really fit a 50g Toblerone inside 😉 but they’re not limited to that, lot’s of small goodies would fit, as well as loads of stationery items, pens, pencils, bone folders, aqua painters, Wink of Stella – yes please!

* Make sure you see my name as the demonstrator in the top right corner
* Enter the Hostess Code for the current month
* Tick YES to allow my demonstrator to contact me (or I won’t know who you are)
* If you spend $250+ do not use the Hostess Code (you will receive your own rewards), you will still receive 10 different free kits (from the 12 Weeks of Halloween) as well as a bonus thank you gift from me.
I do hope you like today’s project and that you’ll come back to see my Christmas version on Festive Friday, I think there might be a smidge more decoration going on and definitely more sparkle 🙂
Cheers,
Karen
