Stampin’ Up Demonstrator Karen Robinson – Gorgeous Grunge – quick and easy
I’m not sure why but I really seem to struggle with CAS (clean and simple) cards. I start off on the right track and then before I know it I’ve added too many layers or embellishments or something and my card is too fussy 😦 So I’ve set myself a challenge to try to make a CAS card each month and then give myself permission to step it up – read fussify it 🙂
Here is my CAS version, one of the splats from Gorgeous Grunge has been simply stamped across the top in the new In Colours, Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.
The word “enjoy” was cut from Basic Black cardstock using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. I do have one layer on my card base but that’s just because I don’t like to see the ink on the back inside my card but other than that, that’s it!
I hope you like my quick and easy card, I think it’s good to have a stockpile of ideas for when you’re in a hurry or don’t have many supplies or when this is just the right style for your recipient. I was quite pleased with this version it was exactly what I had in mind but I’m even more pleased with my stepped up ones 😉 I hope you’ll come back to have a look.
Cheers,
Karen
